It's nicer than it was then, a different feeling to seven years ago," Reus said after adding to the 2012 award he claimed for his performances for previous club Borussia Monchengladbach.
If you're a player with only three or four years left, you celebrate success a little more emotionally than before and enjoy the whole thing more.
It is difficult to come back after an injury as serious as my cruciate ligament rupture in 2017 and become Footballer of the Year, which makes me proud and shows that I have taken a good path after my injury.

On the other hand, after a famous and successful campaign with liverpool which saw them winning the Champions league and sealing their second spot in the english premiere league, Manager, Jurgen Klopp has been named the Coach of the year in germany 2019. It took about 44 votes to crown him champion after facing competition from Fortuna Dusseldorf's manager Friedhelm funkel who was second-placed after the voting excersise had been completed. This will be the third time in klopp's career to win this award. He was quoted as saying;
I know who I owe this great award to: my team and my coaching team. Only as a collective can we achieve the successes we have achieved.
I am also happy for Friedhelm Funkel and Adi Hutter, whose great work has been recognised.

24 Signs That You're Actually An Introvert

Many people believe introversion and shyness are one and the same, but this is not true. All my life I was told that I was shy.
I believed it too… until I learned that shyness is the fear of people due to insecurity or social anxiety. When I learned this, I thought: wait a second- I'm not afraid of people, but being around too many people for too long always leaves me feeling drained.
I also know that I always require alone time to recharge my energy. Moreover, I'm not a fan of interacting for the sake of interacting. I usually have a reason behind every interaction. It was then I thought to myself: nope, I'm not shy at all… what I am is an INTROVERT.If you've always thought that you were shy, but you're not afraid of being around people, check out this list of 24 signs that you are actually an introvert:
1.You Don't Enjoy Small Talk
Introverts prefer conversations with substance over small talk. We're thinkers, and thrive on heavier conversations about life, ideas, theories and big goals. But when small talk is inevitable, we can't help but try to make the other person feel comfortable. We're good listeners and are naturally in tune with how the people we interact with are feeling. More often than not, you find these casual chit-chats morph into deeper, more meaningful conversation.
2.You Have a Love-Hate Relationship With Your Phone.
Introverts are not the best at talking on the phone. It's not personal, honest; we screen calls from even our family and closest friends. At times we really hate the phone because it's intrusive and tears our minds away from whatever we're deeply focused on. However, those we choose to speak with can be sure that our monthly (or annual) phone conversations will be spilling over with plenty of heartfelt talk- and these calls will more than likely last for hours!
3.You Wait to Text Back
When you're notified that you have a text from a family member or friend, you wait until you're ready to give it your undivided attention, to read it, and send a thoughtful response.
4.You Find Crowds Stressful
You prefer one-on-one time, where it's more intimate. If spending time around a lot of people is inevitable, you can't wait to go home and recharge your batteries.
5.You're Not Anti-Social… You're Selectively Social
As an introvert, you find it difficult to meet people you like and feel comfortable with. You don't get energized by the people around you, and most of the time, it takes you a little while to warm up to someone. We don't invest our energy on people we're not completely crazy about, so we choose to get to know them better before we get too close. That said, when we do find someone we enjoy being around or have an interest in getting to know better, it's kind of special!
6.You Enjoy Being Out With a Group of People… in Small Doses
Every once in awhile you like to go out with a group of people and have a great time. It could be a party, networking event, or a huge concert. But once that's done and over, it may take days, weeks, or even months,to completely recharge your batteries and feel ready to do it again.
7.You Are Extremely Observant and Mindful of Your Surroundings
You enjoy getting to really know what the people aroundyou are really about. Introverts are also very mindful of their surroundings and small details, so people enjoy having you around and quickly grow comfortable opening up to you.
8.You Unlock Your Heart for Only the Most Special of Souls
Introverts are extremely careful in choosing who we allow to see our inner self. Sure, being left open and vulnerable is incredibly frightening for us, but it means we've determined the recipient of our affection and attention is worth the risk. That being said, we're pretty quick in shutting people out when we feel threatened or hurt. We just don't have the energy for that.
9.You are Creative
Studies show that introverts are a creative bunch! We are able to take in a lot of information and use it to create wonderful new ideas!
10.You Value Listening… Deeply
Introverts are great listeners. You listen to understand, not simply to respond. And if you're asked for advice, the help you share has been thought out fully for that specific individual. The act of listening is our way of showing love and respect, and as such, we deeply appreciate when those we communicate with recognize that we carefully think through the messages we share…and that we love it when the same is done for us.
11.You are Highly Introspective
You tend to over analyze situations that don't even needto be analyzed at all. It may take you a little longer to understand what's going on, not because you don't get it, but because you always seek to understand the deeper meanings.
12.You Think Before You Argue
Introverts need to take time to work things out in our heads first, and we choose our words with care. Once we've been given the chance to carefully process the issue, we'll be able to clearly communicate exactly where we stand with those involved.
13.You are Accused of Flirting with Everybody
Which is pretty funny, considering that it takes time for most introverts to actually warm up to anyone. This misconception is usually due to your great listening skills and your mindfulness towards those around you.
14.You Enjoy Your Time Alone
This may not sound like fun to everyone, but introverts not only like our alone time- we need it. Just doing nothing and having some 'me-time' is a way for us to unwind and re-energize.
15.You are Rarely Bored
While our extroverted counterparts turn to others for stimulation, we are constantly working out our lives anddreams in our heads. Introverts are deep thinkers and almost always have an inner monologue running through our minds- it keeps us highly entertained!
16.You Don't Trust Easily
You take your time to observe and really get to know someone before inviting them into your inner circle; but once you have the right people in your life, you don't hold back and strive to always give the best of yourself.
17.Have a Very Small Group of Very Close Friends
While introverts usually don't enjoy much socializing, we adore our small group of close, trusted friends. We prefer to create and maintain fewer friendships at a much deeper level, over a large group of casual connections.
18.You Fiercely Guard Your Personal Space
You value your space and are extremely picky about what you give your attention to and who you let in because the wrong thoughts and people will leave you feeling burned-out.
19.You are More Comfortable Expressing Yourself in Writing
You prefer communicating through text and email because it gives you more time and space to clarify your thoughts before putting them into words.
20.You are Great at Getting Stuff Done
Your alone time is packed with brainstorming, outlining, creating blueprints and putting them all into action!
21.You are a Good Judge of Character
Because you keep to yourself, you are able to take time and observe the people around you and truly get to know who they are. Introverts pay close attention to nonverbal cues because we know words can only tell usso much. So, we're usually able to see everyone for who they really are and not just what they appear to be.
22.You are Great at Making Decisions
Introverts are masters of thinking things through, allowing us to thoroughly gather all necessary data and weigh the pros and cons before making important choices.
23.You Retain an Air of Mystery
We know there really is nothing mysterious about us, but our tendency to stay just outside the crowd, simply watching and observing, while keeping our emotions and body language in check, makes us seem like we are mysterious.
24.You are A Loyal Friend
Introverts highly value the few close friends they have. Ifyou've been welcomed into an introvert's inner circle, you can almost be certain you have a loyal ally for life.

Drake proposed to Rihanna with a $1m ring

Lol…MediaTakeOut and their tall tales…albeit
interesting! Now, they are reporting that
Rihanna and Drake are engaged and Drake
proposed to her with a $1million ring. Really?
Lol. The rumour started because Rihanna
stepped out in that ring at the 2016 Billboard
Music Awards.

Read The Report Below
“MediaTakeOut.com just learned that
Rihanna and rapper Drake are engaged –
or at least that’s what they’re trying to get
us to believe. We spoke with our ultra
super reliable Rihanna insider who tells us
that Drake gave Rihanna a $1million 16
Carat diamond ring – which she wore to
last night’s Billboard Music Awards.
And while we can’t say for 100% certain
whether the ring is meant to be an
engagement ring, we’re told that Rihanna
and Drake are NO LONGER just casually
dating. The insider explained, “Drake is
Robyn’s man. He’s not with anyone else,
and neither is she.”
Check out the below pic: If you recall,
Rihanna and Drake were hot and heavy
back in 2014.
Drake followed Rihanna to
London, and the two were caught kicking a
man out a public restaurant bathroom for a
little privacy time. More importantly, Drake
gifted Rihanna at $42,000 yellow diamond
ring back then. That one didn’t spell
wedding bells. But this $1 million dollar
stunner is certainly nothing less than a trip
to the altar.

Mariah Carey insures her vocal cords and hamstrings for $70 million

Mariah, who has one of the most powerful voices in the music industry, just insured her vocal cords and hamstrings for $35 million dollars each. The 46 year old mother of two, who is on tour, insured her most valuable assets because if anything happens to them it could result in a huge loss of profits

TMZ reports below…

Mariah Carey no doubt has the most expensive vocal cords and hamstrings in America … because we found out she’s insured both for $70 million.

Mariah’s on tour now, and it’s so successful she just agreed to extend it to South America. Fact is, there are millions of dollars on the line now, and if anything happens to her major assets it could result in an epic loss of profits.

To guard against all that, our sources say Mariah and company just got a $35 million insurance policy for her voice, and another policy of equal amount for her gams.
We’re told the monthly premium is super expensive … in the many thousands of dollars, but it’s worth it.

You would think she’d invest at least $10 mil on her ass

Meet The Only Nigerian Musician That Have Won Grammy Awards Four Times(photos)

Brief history(her Nigerian origin): Four-time Grammy award winner, Sade Adu, pictured above being carried by her dad, Adebisi Adu in 1959. With them are Sade’s mum, Anne and older brother, Banji.

Helen Folasade Adu, known professionally as Sade Adu or simply Sade, was born on January 16, 1959 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Her parents, Adebisi Adu, a Nigerian lecturer in economics of Yoruba background, and Anne Hayes, an English district nurse, met in London, married in 1955 and later moved to Nigeria.

Her parents separated, however, and Anne Hayes returned to England, taking four-year-old Sade and older brother Banji with her to live with their grandparents outside of Colchester, Essex.

Brief music history: Helen Folasade Adu, OBE (born 16 January 1959), known professionally as Sade Adu or simply Sade is a Nigerian English singer-songwriter,composer,arranger and record producer. With members Paul S. Denman, Andrew Hale, and Stuart Matthewman, she gained worldwide fame as the lead vocalist of the English band Sade. Following a brief stint as a fashion designer of men's clothing and part-time model Adu began backup singing for the band Pride. Growing attention from record labels led her, along with other fellow band members, to separate from Pride and form the band Sade. Following a record deal with Epic Records the band released their debut album Diamond Life(1984). The album sold over six million copies, becoming one of the top-selling debut recordings of the 1980s, and the best-selling debut ever by a British female vocalist.

Following the release of the band's debut album they went on to release a string of multi-platinum selling albums. Their follow up Promise was released in 1985 and peaked at number-one in the UK Albums Chart, the US Billboard 200, and went on to sell four million copies in the US. Sade would later go on to make her acting debut in the British film, Absolute Beginners (1986), before the release of the band's albums,Stronger Than Pride (1988) and Love Deluxe (1992). After the release of the fifth album, Lovers Rock (2000), the band embarked on a ten-year hiatus in which Sade raised her daughter. Following the hiatus the band returned with their sixth album, Soldier of Love (2010) which became a commercial success and won a Grammy Award.

Grammy Awards: She won the award in 1986 for Best New Artist,1994 for her song 'No Ordinary Love',2002 for 'Lovers Rock' and in 2011 for 'Soldier of Love'.Apart from Grammy Award, she has won several other awards like BRIT,American Music Awards and nominated in several others like MTV Video Music Awards,MOBO Awards,Billboard Music Awards,BET Awards,American Music Awards and more

Ladies, If Your Boyfriend is Doing Any of These 5 Things, Then Dump Him Immediately

I remember writing a story about Halle Berry in college that included a mention of her abusive marriage.
“Leave smoke” she said at the time recounting her mother’s advice on handling men who mistreat women. For whatever reason, that quote always stuck with me especially as I learned of friends dealing with unhealthy relationships.
Back then, I wondered why they stayed. But as I got older I began to understand, especially when I became one of those women who stayed waaaay past a relationship’s expiration date. And like many other women, I made excuses and didn’t know when enough was enough. Over time and with the help of friends and family who’ve been through similar situations, I learned the major deal breakers to look out for. Yes, we’re talking MAJOR.
Here are five red flags that give you the green light to walk away, even when you’re not 100 percent sure you’re doing the right thing.
1. He gets violent, even if he doesn’t hit you.
You may think this is a no-brainer but honestly it isn’t. Most women I know who’ve been in abusive relationships have immense strength, only to shut down in the presence of her partner’s anger and violence. As a strong woman myself, I froze when a guy I’d been dating went into a rage one night, throwing things, damaging property and calling me names. I knew it was a deal-breaker because even though he didn’t put his hands on me, he scared me. No healthy relationship can be built off a foundation of fear because you never know when his actions may escalate.
2. He cheats.
Many people will say this point is debatable because lots of couples who have fidelity issues repair their relationship and end up in a better than where they were pre-cheat*ng. But it’s not the act of cheat*ng that’s the deal-breaker here; it’s the disrespect, broken trust and significant risk to your health. (Hello, STDs!) With all the risks that hang in the balance for just a tiny bit of pleasure, it’s entirely inconsiderate and selfish when a man cheats on you. Do you want someone who puts his wants before your needs, like security and trust? I don’t which is why I’ve said BYE to cheat*ng men.
3. He doesn’t claim or proclaim you.
Many women will spend time in limbo-like relationships with guys who won’t give them the girlfriend title. Here’s the truth: If you’ve been dating a man for longer than six to nine months and he’s hasn’t made you an official part of his life, it’s time to MOVE ON. Stop making excuses for why things aren’t progressing to the next level; you’ll only waste time and your time is worth more than that. These days, I don’t settle for less because I don’t want a man who makes you a bargain-bin find. If he knows your worth, he’ll claim and proclaim you and there will be few conversations about how ‘he isn’t ready.’
4. He suffers from addiction.
There are plenty of honor badges to be earned by standing by your man when he’s fallen on hard times. But CAUTION if you stick with a man fighting demons, namely addiction. Addiction can range from less-severe, like cigarettes, to major issues such as drug, alcohol and $ex. Someone who suffers from an addiction will do anything – and I mean anything – to get their fix, even at the expense of those they love. So unless you’d like to be second to whatever vices he has, it may be time to ‘leave smoke.’
5. He gaslights you.
We’ve spoken about gaslighting, which is the manipulative act of someone attempting to change your memory or perception of events in their favor, making you feel crazy or like you’ve forgotten something. But when is gaslighting a dealbreaker, you ask? The answer is when it happens! A man who resorts to manipulative tactics to have his way or ‘win’ an argument will continue to play mind games and be dishonest with you. When I experienced gaslighting in my relationships, I felt crazy and my self-esteem plummeted until I understood the game that was being played. Take advantage of the situation and leave immediately; it’s the best thing you can do for yourself.

5 Things Dark Skinned People Are Tired Of Hearing

As funny as it may sound, there are things you should stop saying to dark skinned ladies and men. Stop the insensitivity. Most times we hear people throw "good" and bad compliments at nonfair people without giving a thought to the psychological damage their statements can have on them and the nation. In 2016, we should have learnt so many things from history. Come out from the cloak of willful ignorance and embrace truth. Stop saying these to dark skin people: 1. You are dark BUT beautiful Wth. Most people say this without going through what they are saying. Why BUT and not AND? because they think dark skin is ugly! Simple. They are saying "well youve got a beautiful face and body but you are covered in ugliness." In other words, you are not so beautiful. Put it to them that this is what they imply, and they become self defensive. But is dark skin ugly? The truth is dark skin is as ugly as fair skin just as fair skin is as beautiful as dark skin. And beautiful people come in all shades 2. You will be cuter if you were fair This is similar to the first but it carries with it such guts and certainty. Like seriously? a beautiful 10 and a handsome 10 are brought before you and the only thing you can think of is "well they look good, but they will be better fair." Good enough, this statement only reveals the mental damage that you, the judge is suffering from. The problem with this statement is that it denies reality. You are of the opinion that a beautiful dark skin lady will look better fair but reality says beautiful people look better always. 3. Light skinned people look better What now? Be jealous and hate yourself O ye dark people! Not only is this a lie it brings shame and disgrace to the entire continent. A lie has no good consequence. An ugly fair man is called handsome and a handsome dark man is called average looking or some times ugly. O ye of poor taste and battered minds, you think like children and are short-sighted. Again, reality says beautiful people look better always. 4. You are jealous and envious of light skinned people People who say this are so sure that non fair people are jealous and envious of them because they(dark people) have been made to feel lesser than them for a very long time now. In addition, many NOT MOST, dark people bleach their skins. So yea, they've got to be jealous of our "pretty" skin. But are they right? Maybe. Some dark skin people get caught up in jealousy and envy not because fair skin is better but because the ground(system) is unlevelled and has put them at a disadvantage. Almost all non fair people started with being comfortable in their skin not until some demons of division and deceit were let loose. So dont pat yourself on the back thinking ye, we look better because we are fair. No, the demons of deceit are dealing with some dark people for now. Who knows whose turn it will be tomorrow. 5. Black is beautiful: Wow whats the problem with this statement? you say. Everything dear. First, black connotes a people of a particular race. And this race has so many shades/complexions be it from extremely fair to extremely dark. They all form black. But you wonder why only a fraction is called black beauty. Are others white beauty, red beauty and so on. If you say well you do not mean it by race but by skin shades. Then why is a chocolate woman called black beauty? Does she look black like black board? No you say. Why then do you not call her brown beauty? Fair doesnt look black. And brown doesnt look black too. But thats not all, "black is beautiful" is a false statement because....simple, there are so many ugly black people and this alone renders it false. You might think its a great compliment but dark skinned people are not moved because to them it is shallow and insensitive and non-problem solving. They can see through the lie. Some even carry a mocking tone when it is said and only makes matters worse for some dark skinned people who have been battered mentally. No thanks. At the end, dark skin is not the problem. You are. You only form your opinions and preferencesfrom what you see on tv, magazines, in shows, etc. When you do a reality check up on yourself you will come to see dark skin for what it is. It is not ugly. Dark skinned people will appreciate you question the lies in your head than make empty statements you do not believe yourself.

10 Amazing Facts About Sleep That Will Blow Your Mind

According to studies, humans spend 1/3 of their life sleeping, which makes it a very important activity in the life of man. Some Nigerians are not getting enough sleep these days, because of their constant pursuit of luxury. A lot of us, love sleep and if it were up to us, we would stay in bed all day and never work. So, for those who love to sleep and those who do not, this piece from TEE9JA will be telling you a lot about sleep, you probably never ever thought were possible… – Anything less than five minutes to fall asleep at night means you’re sleep deprived. The ideal is between 10 and 15 minutes, meaning you’re still tired enough to sleep deeply, but not so exhausted you feel sleepy by day. – A new baby typically results in 400-750 hours lost sleep for parents in the first year. – Parasomnia is a term that refers to unnatural movements during your sleep. Some people have even committed crime due to parasomnia, including sleep driving and even murder. – Dysania is the state of finding it hard to get out of bed in the morning. We’ve all no doubt found it tricky getting out of bed every now and again, but those suffering from Dysania find it particularly difficult. It is most likely to be a form of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. – The sensation of falling when half asleep and jerking yourself awake is called ‘hypnic jerks’. No-one is totally sure why hypnic jerks occur but they are deemed to be perfectly healthy. However, they may be increased by anxiety, caffeine or physical activity close to bedtime. They are more frequent in young people and decrease as we get older. – Within 5 minutes of waking up, 50% of your dream is forgotten – Pain tolerance is reduced by sleep deprivation. This study suggests that cutting a person’s sleep in half dramatically reduces pain threshold although it’s not 100% clear why. – Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health and safety. When we don’t get adequate sleep, we accumulate a sleep debt that can be difficult to “pay back” if it becomes too big. The resulting sleep deprivation has been linked to health problems such as obesity and high blood pressure, negative mood and behaviour, decreased productivity, and safety issues in the home, on the job, and on the road. – Sleeping on your front can aid digestion. Hands should apparently be positioned above the pillow so you’re in a ‘freefall’ position, whilst laying on your left side can apparently help reduce heartburn. – Sleep deprivation will kill you more quickly than food deprivation. Neither are good for you, obviously, but this article claims that sleep is actually more important than food in the short term. If you didn’t know…well, now you do!!!

Psquare Saga: Peter Exposes More About The Problems Within Them In New Interview

THENETNG spent some time with him in his Lekki-home on Thursday, March 17, having been invited by his new manager, Olatunde Michaels of Play Centre.
When we arrive, he’s sitting in the living room, with a young assistant keeping him company. He’s dressed casually, in a patterned T-shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans.

‘How now’?
‘I’m okay man. Long long time.’

We hugged briefly as I sat next to him.

But something is wrong.

Peter and Paul, who live just a building apart, rarely set eyes on one another. They’re no longer the inseparable duo everyone loves to love. They haven’t performed together since December 28, 2015. In fact, they’ve only seen each other a couple of times since then, in rather hostile circumstances, Peter tells Nigerian Entertainment Today. After years of dealing with family issues and trying to solve their differences, they’re now dishing out dirty details on social media, using their very own hands to drag a brand they’ve built over nearly two decades through the mud.

‘I and Paul stay together in this estate and the last time I saw him was about a week ago.’

But you live in the same premises. Why is this so?

‘Truth is, I’ve not been in talking terms with Paul since December 2015 and that was why I travelled in January because I had a lot on my mind.

Something happened at Mavin Studios last year that broke my heart.

Now listen to this, Psquare featured on songs with J-Martins, Bracket, LKT, 9ice and these 4 songs were done by Paul alone, but guess what, did I appear in the videos, YES’.

‘Now hear this, we have other collabos with Kaha, Darey, Ruggedman. I did these songs alone. How come they don’t have videos? Paul refused to appear in the videos.’
‘So I told Paul that when next he does a collabo alone, he should be in the video alone, because it got to a point where artistes began to feel if they did a collabo with Paul it [would] get a video, but if it was me, it [wouldn’t] get a video.
The last collabo we did was with Flavour and I refused to do another one. Even Flavour had to speak all the Igbo he knows to convince me before I agreed to do it. Only for my brother to come and tell me that ‘shey I thought you said you won’t appear in any video that I did the collabo alone? Why did you appear on this one?’. I was sad but I knew another one will come’.

‘So Tiwa Savage called me; apparently Paul had done a song with her – not the campaign song they are promoting now, another Psquare collabo entirely. So she [said] she’s been trying to reach Paul to get the CD of the song from him [because] he’s already done his part, so I went to Paul’s house to help ask for it and tell him I want to go to the studio to do my verse and he said he doesn’t know where the CD is.’

‘I went to the Mavin studio to meet Tiwa. When I got there, she asked for the CD and I told her Paul didn’t give me any CD, so I called him again and gave the phone to Tiwa and [he] told her on phone that the CD is at Omole, so I got into the studio, recorded my verse and when I finished, everybody was clapping. I was surprised to realize that Paul had [told] them that I don’t sing or write songs.’

‘I felt really bad and betrayed, but I covered up for him. I jokingly asked Teebillz if they gave him Red Label and he said yes, so I was like you guys caused it, and we laughed over it. So when my assistant went to pick up the CD, Paul and Jude started shouting at him to ‘ask Peter what is he doing at the Mavin studio? He knows how we work.’ The next day, I went to Paul and told him how I felt when I heard what he said. Only for Jude to say that he made Paul the lead singer of Psquare 8 years ago! A leader leads, he doesn’t destroy.’

‘When it came to decision-making, it was always a Triangle formation, and the highest vote wins.

‘I’ll give you an instance’.

‘We had to go perform somewhere once, and because I had a slight argument with Paul, he said he wasn’t going. It was the wedding of the President’s daughter. When I got to the airport my brother wasn’t there, and I [didn’t know] how I was going to explain to the President that we [couldn’t] perform. I made up my mind to go with the band, perform like that and lie that my brother was sick. So we left for Abuja, and when we got to the hotel, my assistant manager called [to say] he was on the way to the airport with Paul, so we had to wait for them to land in Abuja and that was why we couldn’t make it on time to the reception.’

‘The president was mad. In fact, Mama Peace (Patience Jonathan) was really mad. But we eventually made up for it with a performance at the Gala night. Only for Jude to [tell me that] Paul said he wasn’t going for a show and I still went [without him]. Imagine if Jude had a proper structure and we had contracts? That wouldn’t happen. And it was more because the show came through me. If the show came through Jude, it wouldn’t have happened. I don’t have a problem with doing things as a family, but structure and proper organization is important too. The name Psquare is very big outside but inside we have no structure. I see people like Audu of Chocolate City, Mavin Records, even Ubi Franklin, and I wanted us to have a structure like that. Psquare is just up there because of the grace of God.’

You’ve said a lot about Jude being the problem, and how you’re the minority. But, really, as Peter, what do you bring to the table?

‘It’s really sad that people have labeled me ‘Dancer’ and they don’t really know what I do for Psquare. Kudos to Paul, I’m not a good songwriter; in fact, I’ll rate myself 30%, so when it comes to song writing, I give it to Paul 100%.

‘However, not writing songs does not disqualify you from being a musician. I can tell you for free that a Nigerian wrote two of the songs on Rihanna’s new album. I’ve travelled a lot and most times people ask, ‘which one are you, the singer or the dancer’? And it’s really sad.’

‘In Psquare, I am the creative person, I can sit-down and tell you what people want to hear, what they want to see and what they want to learn from Psquare. But it’s not something to brag about.’

‘Jude directs all our videos.’

‘This whole thing began when Paul went online and started posting lyrics of most of our songs on Instagram [and saying]that he wrote them all, just because Peter brought in something to the table. I had been trying to bring more business for Psquare. I didn’t know it was going to cause problems. I sent my manager to a meeting in Senegal to meet with Universal music about getting us deals, and when he came back, the way they responded to him wasn’t encouraging.’

‘So I had to send Diouf (the footballer) to help get the documents and convince my brothers before we could pull through with the deal. After some months, we started making money. Meanwhile, while filling the forms, Jude filled everything as Psquare. So the first payment came and we shared it. The second payment was bigger, and we shared it too. That was when Paul said we had to re-fill the form and give proper credit to the songwriter (Himself) and said if the form wasn’t brought back, he would expose me and tell the world that he writes all the songs. The next day he went online to post those lyrics. So my question is, when he was doing that what did Jude do about it? Absolutely nothing!’

PAUL IS WEAK

‘I remember I once told Paul something when Jude became our manager; he was using the term ‘Our Money,’ that was when we made our first 1 million [naira]. I called Paul and told him that our former manager used to make about 15%, and now that Jude is our manager, let’s think of a percentage that we’ll be giving him and put it on paper. Paul said it’s not necessary. He probably went to tell Jude about it. I’m sorry to say this, but I think Paul is weak.’

‘You know they say change is constant, you can’t stay in one spot. As the industry moves, you move. So I won’t say the problem we have is money. I think everybody is just dragging power unnecessarily. Imagine Jude telling me that he’s in charge of Psquare and there’s nothing Peter and Paul can do about it, and I look at Paul and he’s quiet about it. I’ve never seen where a manager talks to his artistes anyhow. If there’s an issue you should call us aside quietly to talk about it.’

WHY I CALLED OUT JUDE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

‘On December 14, 2015, we sat down to have a meeting hoping to set a proper structure in place, but Paul noticed that it wasn’t working the way he wanted, so he said he’s starting a new group. I thought he meant he wanted to start a record label, and he was like no, he’s starting a new group that he belongs to. And Jude simply said, ‘anybody stop you?’ He picked up his phones and walked out of the meeting. I felt it had already been discussed behind me. I later found out that Paul was already recruiting for the group and Jude is their manager. At the moment I hear they are called ‘The MVPs’ I don’t know what it means yet.’

‘So how do you expect me to be managed by the same person we’ve been having issues with, who is now the manager of the other group? There’ll surely be conflict of interest.’

‘[Recently] Jude called me, after I had said he was fired. He called me on a Thursday to say ‘Hope you know we are going to the embassy tomorrow for that show in Holland.’ I know about the show, [because] it was already booked before the issues started, so I told him, ‘Bro you are not my manager, talk to my manager.’ He said, ‘Noted.’ The next day, they went to the embassy with the new group members, which means they had already set up their interviews at the embassy because it’s not possible to get an appointment in less than 24 hours. I traced the organisers and told them Jude represents only Paul. I told them this is what it takes to get Peter and Paul, Peter alone or Paul alone.’

‘So I went on social media to protect our careers, because if I didn’t do that, Psquare will not release any material anytime soon, they’ll be busy promoting their artistes.’

‘And I remember going to talk to Paul about it before I went on social media. I went to his house, and he was in his room with his friend, [whom I asked to excuse us, but] Paul said, no, his friend should stay, [and that] anything I want to say should be said in front of him. So I said, no, you know we are brothers and he was like, ‘oh, na now you know say we be brothers.’ I told him I came to talk to him about what’s been happening, but it was turning into an argument so I left and I travelled out. I was away for over a month, knowing that we didn’t have any shows at that time. I went to Turkey and London to rest my mind, my friend Samuel Eto’o invited me to come.’

HOW I FIRED JUDE

‘The day I fired Jude was at a concert. The day I came back, we had a show, so I went straight to the venue in Lagos and told Jude I want to talk to him, and he said I should say anything I want to say in front of everyone, [which] was the same attitude Paul gave me before I travelled. So Jude said if I like, I should get out, and I said ‘guy don’t embarrass me.’ He said who are you, because you think you are Psquare? So I told him openly that if he cannot resolve me and Paul’s issue, he doesn’t deserve to be our manager, and he said I should get out. There and then I told him ‘You are fired’! He looked at me and said, ‘You fit fire me?’ That was when I entered my car and started tweeting. How else can you take him out?’

‘[In fact,] long before I made up my mind, Paul had already said there’s no more Psquare, [and that] if Jude leaves, he goes with him.'

‘Before I announced my management, I wanted my mind to be clear, so I went back to Paul, this time we were alone and we [discussed things]; I told him I had no issues with him, but he needs to stop letting Jude use him as a shield. Both of us started shedding tears, and when we finished he still said he hopes I’m not here to tell him that I still want Psquare, and I told him I want to move on, because he already has a manager (Jude) and I don’t, so I had to structure myself too. And I didn’t want to allow the Psquare name to fade before moving on. Look at Don Jazzy and Dbanj, when they broke up, they waited for like 6 months and had to start again. Now, that Psquare just broke up, let me use the name to move on quickly, because there’s no time.’

IF OUR MUM WAS STILL ALIVE

‘To be honest with you, I feel if our mum was still alive, we would have pushed her to her grave with this whole thing. It’s really sad that even with everything going on, I still stand with Paul.’

SIGNING SOLO DEALS

‘It still boils down to the fact that Psquare was not structured. Music is like football, Messi has his manager, Neymar has his manager, Suarez has his manager, but when they get to the pitch, they play as a team’.

‘Before I did the Olympic deal, I’d brought some deals for Psquare. The people endorsing Psquare only see Peter and Paul, but behind [the scenes] its Peter, Paul and Jude so the price goes so high that it never works.’

‘But when a deal comes to my table, it’s not like they called Jude and I went behind to talk to them, the deal came directly to me from Jude’s friend. He called me and told me about it, and before then I had already established my own beverage factory and the deal coming was from PZ, which means I could do more business with them, so should I lose that deal because they didn’t call Jude?’

‘I asked them why me and not Psquare, and they said they couldn’t afford Psquare, and the brand was tailored to fit one person. So I went back to tell Paul and Jude and they didn’t say anything. They didn’t ask me not to do it. Don’t get it wrong, we’ve been doing different private businesses, the only difference was that the Olympic deal came out in public. I’ve been doing mass housing projects on my own, Paul has been doing real estate, Jude has been doing his own thing, he even [set up the] Northside record label, so it’s not like it’s the first thing I’m doing alone. It’s just the first one that went public.’

‘So even when I decide to open my beverage factory, people will still ask why I am doing it alone without my brother.’

THE NEXT LEVEL

‘Because I announced new management, people feel I’m the one going solo, but Paul has already gone solo. He’s moved on and didn’t need to announce any new management because he still works with Jude, so I had to announce mine and believe it or not, people are booking me for gigs already.’
‘And guess what, I’ll still perform Psquare songs, nobody can stop me, nobody can stop Paul too, we didn’t have a contract with Jude, so I have the right to perform Psquare songs especially the ones I took part in’.

‘I’ll also consider releasing solo songs and even albums. Truth is – in the last album Paul did some songs alone, I did some songs alone. ‘Bring It On’ was Paul alone, ‘Eje Ajo’, ‘Shekini’ was done by me alone’.

‘Remember the 4 songs ‘Free For Fans’ that we released, those songs were removed from the last album and I leaked them’.

‘I have some songwriters already, V-Tek writes for me, and I’m still bringing up more’.

‘Because of what was happening, it was like two against one, so I said let’s share our properties. When I said that, Paul said if we want to share our properties, Jude must get the same share with us otherwise Psquare will split and I was like ‘SPLIT-AGAIN?’

‘Our lawyer came and told Paul that it’s wrong to share it equally with Jude, but he insisted, so we divided every property we owned in Lagos, Jos, America, Abuja. In-fact the right and left wing of the Square Ville mansion belongs to Paul and Jude now.
So that was how we shared all our properties equally among the three of us about two or three years ago.’

‘After sharing everything, I called Paul again and spoke to him about a proper structure. We’ve been with people like Akon and co and we see how it’s done. Right now, Psquare has millions of dollars in royalties hanging in the air.’

‘All our endorsement and shows are shared equally between the three of us as well.’

‘After what it took to share our properties, I was embarking on a project, so I needed more money and I wanted to sell my house in America and buy something smaller, because I spend close to $30,000 to maintain that condo every year.’

‘So I called my caretaker to begin the process and she told Jude and Paul to send their data page and passport photographs, but they refused because they know I wanted to the sell the house. And see the value of dollars now. The house was valued at 100M then, but if I sell it now, I could make extra 250M.’

‘And we already signed paper works and document of the house that it belongs to me but Jude ignored it, so I called our lawyer, Festus Keyamo to inform him about the development. He called them and they both refused to pick his call, so he sent them a text and requested that we should have a meeting, but Jude replied him and said no need for a meeting that the America house will be sold.’

‘Paul said we agreed and signed on how to share but we haven’t really shared it yet, after all Jude is still holding on to the documents.’

‘Three of us have properties close to each other in Parkview and that’s why I want to sell my own and move to Banana Island.’

‘I can’t really understand why they don’t want a structure, to me I think it’s ignorance, and if I decide to do it, it’ll seem like I’m looking for trouble.’

Jude, who dissociated himself from Psquare in a social media post on Thursday, hours after our interview with Peter, declined commenting for this story. He told our correspondent ‘I’m sorry I can’t talk about it.’

MY WIFE AND MY MUM

‘People think we changed when we started having wives. Before my mum died, she was at St Nicholas hospital on the island, and my sisters were living in this house (in Lekki), and every morning before my wife goes to work, she’ll leave home at 5am in the morning to go and stay with my mum even before we get there ourselves. And when she closes from work, she’s back with her again.’

‘So I just laugh when I hear people say my mum didn’t like my wife. It’s my wife and sister that prepare my mum’s meals in the kitchen.’

‘Now let me shock you: our wives, the three of them are the closest set of people you can imagine. Even with all that’s going on. It’s really surprising. Somehow, they respect themselves and stayed out of the whole drama and I respect them a lot. And that’s somehow what has kept us together for this long, otherwise Psquare would have ended like two or three years back.’
